We had our first family Thanksgiving gathering this last Thursday with our youngest sons family. Before we started to eat we went around the table saying what we were thankful for. What our granddaughter had to say brought tears to our eyes. She said "She was so thankful to have us back in her life and how horrible it was to have lost half of her life not knowing us because of this terrible and hateful religion we were once all in. How happy it makes her feel we are all together again and loves us so much." We couldn't have asked for a better Thanksgiving. I hope all had a wonderful and happy holiday as we did this last week. We all have something to be grateful for not being in the cult anymore. Take care all. Still Totally ADD

Sea Breeze I remember being on the hurt end of a old hair brush when I was a little kid. My wife and I loved the movie. Parents of the brog could have learned alot from Mr. Roger's. But after all he was a minister from a religion other than the borg, so he didn't know what he was talking about. Still Totally ADD

How old is old?
by joey jojo inhaving a conversation with a pimi elder and i asked him how he deals with the fact that he never expected to get old.
i get the feeling that some dubs still have the original generation explanation hard-wired, even though they claim to accept the new version.
so my question is, how old do you have to be to be considered old?

We have a friend who is 90 years old and her biggest complaint she had last winter was she had no one to ski with so she went out on her own. She takes no drugs just one of those lucky one I guess. For me I am 65 dealing with pain every day in my back, legs and shoulders but I keep moving. Hopefully one day when I reach 90 I won't hurt no more. Lol. Still Totally ADD

Electric Cordless Yard Tools - Does Anyone Else Use Them?
by RubaDub ini must say, i have had my battery mower, trimmer, blower for about a year now and could not be happier (ryobi 40 volt stuff).
the same battery works in everything.
just plug and play.. yes, they are more expensive to purchase, probably 30% to 50% more than gas.

I have a 56volt weedeater. On one charge it easily weed eats my one acre yard. No gas and 2 cycle oil, pulling a rope to start it or smoke and noise. Just turn it on and go. I couldn't be happier with it. Still Totally ADD

They are Still preaching against careers!
by LongHairGal ini saw on another forum a post somebody made about the melbourne assembly.
it seems the religion is still knocking full time jobs/careers and saving for retirement.. you would think at this point in time - after thousands of bethelites were sent home; many thousands of rank & file jws are at or near retirement age with no preparation - that the religion would change its tune, but no.
they are still stubbornly sticking to their guns on this issue.. i’m sorry for any young jws who listen to this.. i’m just glad i never followed their advice and certainly would not want to be in any congregation surrounded by these desperate people!.

minimus as a organic gardener I use alot of paper in my garden. As the saying goes paper is to earth worms as potatoe chips are to teenagers and you get in return worm poop. One of the best fertilizers you can get. But I see your point. We use reusable bags but paper would be fine. Still Totally ADD
